Plane crashes into Corona Airport hangar

CORONA, Calif.

A single-engine aircraft crashed into an unoccupied airplane hangar at the airport.

The pilot and the one passenger were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and were reportedly in stable condition.

The /*National Transportation Safety Board*/ (NTSB) and the /*Federal Aviation Administration*/ (FAA) were investigating the incident. The preliminary findings indicate the pilot was attempting to land when he lost control and crashed into the hangar, according to the Corona Police Dept.

The pilot, 29-year-old Corona resident Ramon Hernandez, and 26-year-old Mira Loma resident Jose Trigueros were hospitalized.

No one was in the hangar at the time of the collision. No other injuries were sustained.

The /*Corona Airport*/ remained open during the investigation.
