Christina Hendricks of "Mad Men" guest stars opposite her real-life husband Geoffrey Arend on his ABC show, "Body of Proof."
In the episode entitled "Dead Man Walking," which airs on April 19, Hendricks portrays Karen Archer, the identical twin of a corpse whose mysterious death remains a mystery. Arend plays Dr. Ethan Gross, who was the doctor of Archer's twin.
It was recently announced that "Mad Men" will not be returning to television until 2012, due to contract negotiations between the network, Lionsgate studio and creator Matthew Weiner.
Hendricks, 35, rose to fame in 2007, playing Joan Holloway on AMC's "Mad Men." She married Arend, 33, on October 11, 2009.
The Hollywood Reporter announced today that Hendricks left her talent representative at Paul Kohner Agency and has yet to sign with a new agent.
The actress will also be appearing in the drama "Detachment" with Adrien Brody, Lucy Liu, James Caan and Blythe Danner, which chronicles three weeks in the lives of several high school teachers, administrators and students, as seen through the eyes of a substitute teacher. The movie premieres at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 25. Hendricks also stars in the comedy "I Don't Know How She Does It," with Sarah Jessica Parker, Greg Kinnear and Pierce Brosnan, which is scheduled for release on September 16, 2011.
