Conan O'Brien, David Arquette help in the fight against malaria

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

Actor David Arquette, comedienne Sarah Silverman and late-night talk show host Conan O'Brien were among the various stars who showed up to the event Hollywood Bites Back, hosted by Malaria No More, a nonprofit dedicated to ending malaria-related deaths in Africa by 2015.

"There are so many amazing comedians here tonight. It's to end malaria by the year 2015. It's possible and Malaria No More is doing it," Arquette said. "A kid dies in Africa every 45 seconds over malaria, so it's a really important cause."

The event, held at Club Nokia at L.A. Live, featured comedy, stand-up, improv and musical acts.

Other celebrities included Elizabeth Banks of "30 Rock," B.J. Novak of "The Office" and Colin Quinn of "Grown Ups."
