A possible mechanical failure left a Red Line train stuck in a tunnel in downtown Los Angeles on Monday. About 200 people were evacuated from the train.

The train stopped between the Westlake and Alvarado stations shortly before 8 a.m.

Firefighters responded to assist with the evacuation. No one was injured in the incident.

The train was taken to the Westlake Station platform. There's no word yet on what caused the subway to stop.
