Paralyzed bride-to-be takes walk down aisle

WINDSOR, Canada

Her boyfriend Mike Belawetz, who is also a paramedic, rescued her from the mangled car.

Over the next two years, he barely left Darmon's side as he helped her through rehab.

Saturday, Darmon walked down the aisle at the couple's wedding, supported by her father and brother.

"It's so nice for everybody to see the end result, all the work that I've put into it over the last couple of years," the bride said.

Using braces, she was also able to join her husband in their first dance.

"I'm proud of my wife, her accomplishments and it just feels really good to be here today," Belawetz said.
