Pia Toscano, who was eliminated from "American Idol" earlier this month, is set to perform on "Dancing With The Stars" on Tuesday, April 26, two weeks after she and Mark Ballas, one of the ABC reality show's pro-dancers, stepped out together and sparked romance rumors.
Ballas told OnTheRedCarpet.com after the recent "Dancing With The Stars" results show on Tuesday, April 19, when asked if he was dating Toscano: "She's very lovely. She's awesome. We're hanging out."
On "Dancing With The Stars" on Monday, April 25, the remaining seven celebrity contestants, including Kirstie Alley, and their partners will dance to songs people are "afraid to admit" they love, co-host Brooke Burke said on Tuesday's results show, which featured the elimination of supermodel Petra Nemcova.
Boy pop groups New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys, who are set to tour North American with "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks in the summer, will perform the following day, while "Pia Toscano sings while our own Mark Ballas dances," Burke had said.
Ballas that he did not know about Toscano's performance before the announcement.
Earlier this month, Toscano, a 22-year-old who was axed from "American Idol" in the season's most unexpected elimination, and Ballas, a 24-year-old professional dancer who has competed on the ABC ballroom dancing reality show since 2007, were seen together leaving a restaurant in Los Angeles in a video posted on TMZ. Toscano told People magazine in a video interview: "We went out with a group of friends. He's just a really good friend."
