Beverly Hills co. sued in human-traffic case

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.

Global Horizons Inc., along with farms in Hawaii and Washington, are facing two lawsuits.

Authorities claim Global Horizons lured 200 workers from Thailand with promises of steady jobs and agricultural visas.

The company is accused of then confiscating the workers' passports and threatening to deport them if they complained.

Some workers say they were physically abused and forced to live in rat-infested rooms.

Global Horizons has not commented.
