For the past 43 days, J. Wilson has only ingested beer and water. He said he wanted to live like the Franciscan monks did centuries ago.
Wilson also claims this lent diet hasn't been a drunk-fest. He limits himself to only five beers each day.
"There were a couple of days where I felt, you know, hunger pain," said Wilson. "You know, two o'clock in the afternoon, I could go for some lunch right now. Four o'clock, there it is again."
Wilson is not sporting a beer gut. In fact he says he lost 22 pounds so far. The first thing he plans to eat when Lent is over is a bacon smoothie.
