Long Beach Police officers came into contact with the suspect during the course of an investigation. The suspect and at least one officer reportedly got into a physical altercation before the suspect separated and ran.
The suspect reportedly broke into a house where no one was home.
Long Beach Police and a SWAT team were on scene. The area around the house was cordoned off and traffic was diverted while the incident developed.
The house is located near Cedar Ave. and 7th St. in Long Beach.
