Officials said a bear recently killed several chickens belonging to a resident, and it also rummaged through several trash cans.
Resident Sherri Rubendall sent in a photo of a bear she saw in her neighborhood, but it is not clear if that particular bear is the culprit.
Residents are being asked to bring in their pets at night and not to leave trash out all week.
Experts say once a bear gets comfortable with an area, it is likely to return.
