$12K worth of stolen guns recovered in Ojai

OJAI, Calif.

The weapons were kept in a large gun safe in a home on the 1400 block of Loma Drive. On April 6, that home was broken into and the safe was stolen.

All of the weapons were legally possessed by the victim.

Upon investigation, Ventura County sheriff's gang unit identified the suspects as 41-year-old Brian Teasdale, his 18-year-old son Nikolas Teasdale and 39-year-old Anthony Lindsey - all of Ojai.

Authorities discovered that the three suspects took the safe to a welding fabrication shop in Ventura, where they cut it open. The three then split the guns, rifles and ammunition among themselves.

All but one weapon was recovered after search warrants were served at all three suspects' homes.

The Teasdales were arrested Wednesday and booked for residential burglary. As for Lindsey, he was booked into Ventura County Jail for residential burglary, felon in possession of a firearm and being in possession of a firearm while in possession of methamphetamine.
