The teams took off April 14 from New York en route to San Francisco where the cars will be shipped to China. Paris is the final destination for the more than three-month-long race. The event is not based on a speed and is a recreation of the Great Race of 1908.
Janet Howle told the newspaper they arrived in Denver Friday afternoon after battling road construction and high winds.
Drivers mostly are using back roads.
