/*California Highway Patrol*/ officers said the victim was crossing the freeway near Avenue K just before 9 p.m. Sunday. He was hit by a vehicle and landed on the shoulder where he was found dead.
The investigation shut down the freeway until around midnight.
Police continued their search for the hit-and-run driver on Monday and asked for any witnesses to come forward.
