Oakland nightclub shooting leaves 2 dead

Two victims were killed and four others were hospitalized after a shooting in Oakland early Monday morning.

A man who was denied entry at a nightclub in Oakland opened fired early Monday, killing two people and wounding four others.

Authorities responded to the scene outside Sweet Jimmie's nightclub on the 300 block of Broadway just before 1 a.m. Two men, whose names have not yet been released, were declared dead at the scene.

Four victims were rushed to a local hospital. Two of them are in critical condition.

About an hour later, police responded to another shooting just blocks away, but police do not believe the shootings are related. One man was wounded in that shooting.

No suspects have been arrested. A suspect description was not immediately available.
