Two museums in Los Angeles County will be raising their fees.

The Board of Supervisors approved hikes in admission and parking at the Natural History Museum and the Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits.

Admission at the Natural History Museum will go from $9 to $12 for adults. Children (5-12) cost $5, youth (13-17) cost $8 and seniors and students with ID cost $9.

Page Museum admission increases from $7 to $11 for adults. Additional prices include $5 for children (5-12) and $8 for youth (13-17), seniors and students with ID.

Parking will also go up this July at the Natural History Museum, from $5 to $8. Parking at Page will remain $7 Monday-Friday with museum validation and $7 on weekends.

Museum officials say the increases are needed to pay for higher costs.
