The fire in Westminster Wednesday night sent the suspect and three other people to the hospital, including a fire fighter and a police officer.
The Orange County Fire Authority said the suspect lives in the home and told crews on the scene that he started the fire.
He suffered third degree burns and was taken to UCI Medical Center. The fire fighter and police officer suffered minor injuries.
