Officers were called to the 900 block of Douglas Avenue, where they found an unidentified man suffering a gunshot wound to the torso.
Officers determined the shooting had occurred on the 100 block H Street in Oxnard.
The shooting victim was hospitalized at the Ventura County Medical Center and was in stable condition Wednesday night.
