Paris Hilton realized on Friday that her jailed 'stalker' had also recently proposed at an event in February.
"OMG! I just realized that the attacker from this video is same nut who proposed," Hilton Tweet on Friday afternoon.
The man in question, James Rainford, who attacked Paris Hilton's boyfriend Cy Waits before they entered a courthouse to testify in a burglary trial was charged with one count of battery and sencented to jail. He appears in the second video offering Hilton a ring and an engagement ring at a the Passport signing event at the Macy's in the Riverside Galleria in California on February 26, 2011, watch the video below.
The heiress admits on the social networking site that she has had a "crazy week."
Rainford pled no contest to the count of battery on Thursday, and was sentenced to 120 days in jail for the battery assault, 90 days for violating the terms of the earlier probation and 17 additional days for failing to complete terms of the original probation, which adds up to 227 days to be served consecutively, with credit of 2 days of time served. In addition, Rainford has been ordered to stay away from Waits and will have 36 months of unsupervised probation. His original 200 yard stay away order from Paris Hilton's house, which remains in effect.
On Wednesday Rainford, who Hilton dubbed a "stalker" and "psycho intruder" appeared to show up out of the blue as the two walked outside alongside a swarm of reporters and grabbed Waits' by the neck from behind.
Hilton's bodyguard later tackled him (see EXCLUSIVE video) and led him away to turn him over to police. Rainford was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery on a person and was held in police custody on $20,000 bail.
Rainford, 36, had in January pleaded no contest to civil assault after he was arrested for trying to contact Hilton at her home in the Hollywood Hills. He was sentenced to three years of probation.
At the scene, she called Rainford a "stalker" and told reporters on the scene: "Oh my god, that is another intruder who came to my house on a bike. This guy just attacked my boyfriend."
As Rainford was being led away by the heiress' bodyguard, he was asked if he had tried to attack Hilton.
"No," said Rainford, who identified himself as "Jim Rainford." "I've already proposed to her and her dad already said 'Yes.' I wanted to her get her to sign my picture of me proposing to her."
When asked if he was okay, Waits said: "Yeah, I'm good."
