Hayden Panettiere recorded the song "I Can Do It Alone" for "Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil in 3D," which opened in theaters on Friday and the corresponding music video was just released by The Weinstein Company.
The 21-year-old actress also lent her voice to the character of Red Riding Hood in the animated movie, where Red and the Wolf are called upon to investigate the disappearance of Hansel and Gretel.
Panettiere has performed on several soundtracks over the years, including "The Dust Factory," "Ice Princess," "Shanghai Kiss" and "Bridge to Terabithia." She was nominated for a Grammy in 1999 for "A Bug's Live Read-Along."
The actress released her first single, "Wake Up Call" digitally in 2008.
Panettiere got her start in the soap operas "One Life to Live" and "Guiding Light" before starring in Disney's "Remember the Titans." The actress reached mainstream fame portraying cheerleader Claire Bennet on the NBC series "Heroes."
She most recently appeared in "Scream 4" and the controversial Lifetime movie, "Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy." Panettiere next stars in "Carmel" about a teenager (Josh Hutcherson) who arrives in Carmel, California and is inducted into a community of art forgers.
