Authorities said the rocker was speeding along the highway near Heathercliff Road in his Corvette when he was pulled over at about 8 p.m. Sunday. He was stopped near Trancas Canyon Road, where deputies said he showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol.
Springfield failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI and transported to the Malibu/Lost Hills Station. Officials said his blood alcohol content was at .10. The California legal limit is .08.
He was booked and released on his own recognizance. He was scheduled to appear in court in Malibu July 5.
