The SUV went all the way inside the restaurant on the 18000 block of East Gale Avenue and ended up in the kitchen.
Inspector Mat Levesque of the Los Angeles Fire Department said the vehicle ignited inside the Del Taco.
"When our units arrived on scene, the car was fully engulfed involved inside the structure. They were able to knock down the flames at the time," he said.
Three people in the car and two employees inside the restaurant were injured, but the injuries appear to be non life-threatening.
