19 arrested in Venice undercover anti-gang sting

LOS ANGELES

For four months, agents pretended to run a tattoo parlor in an area known for gang activity.

At the end of the sting, they arrested 19 suspected gang members for numerous charges involving drugs and guns.

One suspect is accused of selling a gun to an undercover agent.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Wednesday that "Operation Villainz Ink" targeted alleged members of the Venice 13 gang, which operates in Venice and the Culver City area.
