Jay Mohr and Nikki Cox welcomed their first child together, a son named Meredith Daniel Mohr, on Thursday, May 5, the actor's spokesperson confirmed to OnTheRedCarpet.com.
Mohr, 40, and Cox, 32, married in December 2006. They met on the set of her television show "Las Vegas" in 2005, the year his divorce from first wife Nicole Chamberlain was finalized.
Mohr and Chamberlain, who is also an actress, married in 1998 and have a son, Jackson.
"We are over the moon, filled with joy and every other cliche new parents use," the couple said in a statement carried by People magazine, which first reported the news. "He's perfect."
Mohr, who is also a comedian, starred in "Saturday Night Live" in the 1990s and became famous for his impression of actor Christopher Walken. He went on to star in films such as "Jerry Maguire" and television shows such as "Gary Unmarried" and "Ghost Whisperer."
Cox also rose to fame in the 1990s, playing Gina Williams on the soap opera "General Hospital" and Tiffany Malloy on the comedy series "Unhappily Ever After." She later went on to appear on her own sitcom, "Nikki" and on shows such as "Las Vegas." She also made a guest appearance on "Ghost Whisperer" in 2008 and starred with Mohr in the 2009 movie "Lonely Street."
