Tom Cruise was honored with a Humanitarian Award by the Simon Wiesenthal center.

The Jewish human rights organization gave the actor their highest honor Thursday night because of his longtime support of the group and its Museum of Tolerance.

The organization's National Tribute Dinner was held in Beverly Hills.

Director J.J. Abrams served as the emcee.

Cruise. 48. played a German military officer that planned to assassinate Adolf Hitler in the 2008 film "Valkyrie."
