Reese Witherspoon was recently spotted wearing a a soft cast on her leg, below her knee, and her spokesperson says the actress twisted her ankle.
The Oscar-winning 35-year-old actress appeared with the cast in a celebrity photograph taken on Sunday - Mother's Day, leaving a church with her new husband Jim Toth and her children Ava and Deacon.
"She twisted her ankle and is in a walking cast temporarily. Nothing serious," Witherspoon's spokesperson told People magazine, which published the picture.
Witherspoon and Toth, a Hollywood agent, married in a private ceremony on March 26 at the actress' ranch estate in Ojai, California. She was married to her children's father, actor Ryan Phillippe, between 1999 and 2008.
Witherspoon recently starred in the movie "Water For Elephants" with "Twilight" heartthrob Robert Pattinson. The actress was cast-free at the "Water For Elephants" premiere in London on May 3 (see photos).
She is also known for movies such as "Legally Blonde" and won an Oscar for the 2005 film "Walk the Line." Witherspoon recently filmed the action-romance flick "This Means War" with Chris Pine, Angela Bassett, Tom Hardy and comedian Chelsea Handler. The movie is set for release later this year.
