A green peahen is back safe and sound after being found in the garage of a local business.
The peahen, a female version of a peacock, made a break for it on Monday. Now back at the zoo, the animal has been examined by veterinarians and seems to be fine.
Just weeks ago, a highly venomous Egyptian cobra went missing from her glass enclosure at the zoo's reptile house.
She was found about a week later in a dark corner of the reptile house. The cobra was named MIA, for Missing in Action.
