Sasha lost one of her puppies during labor, so rescue workers gave her a raccoon to nurse.
The raccoon was found in a home in eastern Missouri.
Veterinarians said Sasha and the raccoon immediately formed a special bond.
Unfortunately, Sasha will soon have to part ways with the baby raccoon. The animal is expected to be weaned in a few weeks.
Then, it will go to a wildlife rescue center before being released back into the wild.
