Woman steals from UCLA Medical Plaza employee

WESTWOOD, LOS ANGELES

An employee working at the front desk at the /*University of California Los Angeles*/ Medical Plaza had her wallet stolen from her desk on April 26 at about 6:30 p.m.

The employee had stepped away from her desk briefly. Upon returning, she noticed an older female in the lobby, who told the employee she was looking for her daughter. The suspect then left.

Hours later, the employee noticed her wallet was missing. She called to cancel her credit cards and found at least one had been used. Surveillance video captured the suspect using one of the cards to purchase groceries.

The suspect is described as an African-American female, about 55-60 years old, standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds with a large build. She was wearing clear-frame eyeglasses, a white shirt over a blue shirt, black pants, and a blue scarf on her head.
