Lady Gaga topped the Forbes Celebrity 100 list this year, beating out Oprah Winfrey and Justin Bieber for the honor of the most powerful celebrity.

The 100 celebrities, musicians and athletes pulled in $4.5 billion in 2011. The annual list measures each star's entertainment-related earnings, media visibility and social media power.

Oprah Winfrey has topped the list four times in the past seven years and earned a reported $290 million last year. But Gaga beat out the media mogul, earning $90 million and amassing 9.5 million Twitter followers and 32 million Facebook fans. Gaga's recently released single "Born This Way" also sold 1 million digital downloads in just five days.

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber earned $53 million due to concerts, music sales and his 3-D documentary, which earned $100 million at the global box office, all at 17-years-old. The pop star also broke a new record on YouTube, with his first hit song "Baby" earning 500 million views.

There were a few surprises on the list, including former "Real Housewives of New York" star Bethenny Frankel, who earned over $100 million selling her Skinnygirl Cocktails company to Fortune Brands. Tiger Woods also earned a spot on the list, earning $75 million, even though he hasn't won a tournament since his infidelity was revealed in 2009, which also lost him several sponsors.

Some newcomers to the list include Frankel, Katy Perry, Mark Wahlberg and Natalie Portman. A few celebrities who didn't make the list include "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe and Britney Spears.
