Jana Marie Spires of Irvine is believed to be responsible for the series of fires that included trash, trash cans and cars dating back to July 2010. The damage ranged from minor to total loss.
Irvine crime scene investigators gathered DNA evidence from three different incidents.
Spires was identified as a suspect and was arrested near Springbrook Elementary School where a stack of pizza boxes had been set on fire. Detectives extinguished the fire before it damaged the property.
