Rumors have been swirling that tennis pro Anna Kournikova is set to join "The Biggest Loser" and replace Jillian Michaels on the next season of the reality series.
When asked if Kournikova would join the show as a new trainer, an NBC spokesperson told OnTheRedCarpet.com: "We can't comment at this time on the multiple casting rumors surrounding the show, but look forward to making a big announcement about season 12 of 'The Biggest Loser' at our season 11 live finale next Tuesday, May 24 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC."
Kournikova put up her Miami Beach, Florida mansion for sale with an asking price of $9.4 million, earlier this month.
The ivy-covered home features seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms and is right on the waterfront. The home also has a coral rock pool deck, a two-story guest house and a sauna all within its 6,600 square feet. Photos of the home can be seen here.
The tennis star made an appearance on the show in October 2010 where she led a tennis work-out challenge. "The Biggest Loser" trainer Jillian Michaels announced she was leaving the show in December to focus on becoming a mother. Michaels recently said she was playing the 'waiting game' in her attempt to adopt a baby from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Kournikova is best known for her tennis career which included two Grand Slam titles for doubles with partner Martina Hingis. Kournikova's professional career has slowed down as a result of injuries and back problems. She recently came in at No. 19 on Maxim's Hot 100 list.
The athlete is also known for her relationship with pop star Enrique Iglesias that began in 2001. During an interview with Graham Norton on BBC in 2010, she confirmed that the two are still dating but have no interest in getting married.
