Kim Kardashian and NBA star Kris Humphries are engaged.
The 30-year-old star of E! reality show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" and Humphries, who is 26 and plays for the New Jersey Nets basketball team, began dating in late 2010. Kardashian confirmed her engagement on her website on Wednesday, May 25.
"OMGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!" she said. It's true! I couldn't be happier! Thank you guys for all of the sweet messages!!! I finally found my missing puzzle piece, I'm complete!"
People magazine, which featured the happy pair on its cover, said that Humphries proposed to Kardashian in her bedroom on May 18 with a custom-designed, 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring and a message written in red rose petals that read: "WILL YOU MARRY ME?"
No wedding date has yet been announced. This will be the second marriage for Kardashian. She and music producer Damon Thomas wed in 2000, when she was 19 years old. The two divorced in 2004.
Kardashian told OnTheRedCarpet.com in February, regarding Humphries, that "When you meet someone worth it, it's worth giving it up."
Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner, Tweeted her congratulations to the couple, adding: "YIIPPEEE SO HAPPY!!!!!"
"Only thing that's going 2b hard is having 2 Kris' in the fam!" Kardashian's sister Khloe said on her Twitter page. "Mama Kris won't like some1 else having her name! LOL we need a nickname 4Hump."
Kardashian's other sister, Kourtney, Tweeted that she was "squealing with excitement!," adding: "The princess has found her prince. I am so happy because @KimKardashian is happy!"
Kardashian previously dated New Orleans Saints halfback Reggie Bush and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin, and is said to have had a brief fling with model Gabriel Aubry, actress Halle Berry's ex-boyfriend, although the two have not confirmed a relationship.
