Police arrested a man suspected of at least three armed robberies in Fullerton Wednesday.

Pico Rivera resident Demetres Mitchell, 28, was arrested exiting the HR Market at 253 S. Magnolia after allegedly holding up the store at gunpoint at about 8 p.m.

Mitchell is suspected of committing similar armed robberies of the same and other stores by pulling out a gun, vaulting the counter and stealing cash from the register. Police suspect Mitchell has robbed HR Market at least twice previously.

Fullerton Police had been surveilling HR Market due to previous robberies since January, according to the department. He was arrested by officers outside the store as he attempted to flee.
