Phil Spector's appeal rejected by appeals court

LOS ANGELES

Spector was convicted two years ago of killing actress Lana Clarkson at his Alhambra mansion in 2003.

The legendary rock music producer is serving 19 years to life in prison on a second-degree murder conviction.

His first trial ended in a hung jury; the second ended in a conviction.

Spector's defense lawyer said he will file an appeal in June because the court ignored a central issue in the case.
