Moreno Valley police responded to a shooting in the 12000 block of Carnation Lane, a residential area, just before midnight.
When officers arrived, they found a man dead from gunshot wounds. It was unclear how the man died exactly, but homicide investigators are on the case.
The man's identity was not released.
