Alec Baldwin has officially joined the Twitterverse.The "30 Rock" star began Tweeting on Friday and his profile is marked with a verified check mark. The actor mentioned in his first Tweet that he was slightly nervous about speaking on the social networking site for the first time.
"My first tweet. Maybe I needed a glass of wine beforehand. I feel....so shy," the 53-year-old wrote.
The actor is also following some notable Twitter accounts including Steve Martin, President Barack Obama, NBC's official Twitter stream, George Takei and his '30 Rock' co-star Tracy Morgan.
"I have decided to be @Alec_Baldwin's angriest twitter follower," Steve Martin wrote on Sunday.
Baldwin recently addressed Harvard Law School's graduating class on Wednesday. He told students that he should have pursued a law degree instead of becoming an actor.
Baldwin graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He has received three Golden Globe Awards, two Emmys, five SAG Awards and the Television Critics Award for his role as Jack Donaghy on "30 Rock."
"I wanted to be President of the United States, so I needed to get my hands on a law degree," Baldwin told the 2011 graduating class, The Harvard Crimson reports. "Nearly every day since then, I wondered what would [have happened] if I had the patience, skill, or good fortune."
