Hayden Panettiere of "Heroes" fame and New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez were recently photographed walking together outside an In-n-Out Burger in California, weeks after she announced her split from Ukranian boxer Wladimir Klitschko.
However, Panettiere, 21, and Sanchez, 24, are not dating and are just friends, People magazine quoted sources close to the actress as saying. She and Sanchez have not commented on the report of a photo of the two holding drink containers.
Panettiere and Sanchez were also spotted together at other events in recent weeks. Us Weekly reported that the two chatted at a star-studded pre-Oscars party in February at Hollywood's famed Chateau Marmont hotel.
Panettiere's spokesperson confirmed on May 12 that the actress and Klitschko had broken up after some two years. Prior to dating Klitschko, Panettiere was linked to her "Heroes" co-star Milo Ventimiglia. The two dated for at least a year and broke up around February 2009.
Panettiere is known for her cheerleader role in the series "Heroes" and recently starred in the film "Scream 4" and the controversial Lifetime movie, "Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy."
She also voices Little Red Riding Hood in the animated movie "Hoodwinked Too!" and recorded the song "I Can Do It Alone" for its soundtrack, as well as a music video. She released her first single, "Wake Up Call," in 2008.
Panettiere can be seen next in the movie "Carmel," which stars Josh Hutcherson as a teenage boy who arrives in Carmel, California and is inducted into a community of art forgers.
