Teen flees on foot after hitting taco stand, 2 people during driving lesson

A teenage girl injured two people when she crashed into a taco stand in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 2, 2011 during a driving lesson.

A teenage girl practicing driving with her father in a parking lot crashed into a taco stand, injuring two people. The girl then tried to flee the scene on foot.

The incident happened at 59th Place and Broadway in the Florence area of Los Angeles.

Police said the 16-year-old was driving around 11:15 p.m. Thursday with her father and another teenage girl when the crash happened.

Investigators said the two girls ran away, but witnesses brought them back.

The father drove off, but another driver followed him and brought him back, according to authorities.

The victims suffered from cuts and bruises, but they're OK.

The teenage driver was charged with felony hit-and-run.
