OTRC: January Jones in 'nesting phase' ahead of baby's birth, talks 'X-Men: First Class'

January Jones, who is pregnant with her first child, says she is in a "nesting phase" and is enjoying some time off after shooting "X-Men: First Class."

Jones, 33, has not revealed the identity of her baby's father or her due date.

"I'm kind of been in the nesting phase, just preparing my house and stuff," Jones told PopSugar.com in a video interview to promote "X-Men: First Class." "I've had the luxury of ... a couple months off since we wrapped the movie and before 'Mad Men' starts again so I've just been enjoying a nice break."

The actress confirmed her pregnancy in April, months after she and "Saturday Night Live" cast member Jason Sudeikis broke up.

Jones told OnTheRedCarpet.com in February that she is "not dating anyone."

"X-Men: First Class" was released on Friday, June 3. Jones plays the mutant Emma Frost, a telepath who can also turn into a diamond. The film also features Kevin Bacon as the villain Sebastian Shaw and James McAvoy and Michael Fastbender as the mutants Professor X and Magneto.

"In this movie she's technically a bad guy but I think her motives are genuine, from the heart," Jones said about her character in a video interview provided by Twentieth Century Fox, the film's studio (see above). "She thinks she's doing what is best for her race. She is telepathic. She is able to ... not just see what people are thinking but sort of manipulate what they're thinking and what their mind does."

The actress added that Frost is one of the most powerful mutants in the film.

"Physically, she's able to, when she needs to, turn into a diamond," she said. "As we all know, or what most women know, diamonds are unbreakable unless you're able to crush diamonds with your magnetic powers. What's really neat is that it takes both Magento and Professor X to take her down because it takes both someone with mental powers and physical powers to take her down."

"X-Men: First Class" is adapted from the popular Marvel comic book franchise. While "X-Men" films that have come out in recent years take place in the present day, the new film is a prequel and is set in the 1960s during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Jones is also known for her role as Betty Draper in the AMC drama series "Mad Men," which also takes place in the 1960s and stars Jon Hamm as Don Draper, an advertising firm partner who was once married to her character. The fifth season is set to debut in March 2012 and the show is set to air for at least two more seasons.
