Selena Gomez is preparing for the big release of her third studio album, "When The Sun Goes Down" on June 28 and told OnTheRedCarpet.com at the MTV Movie Awards that she hopes her fans will be as inspired by her new music, as they were by her recently released single "Who Says."
"The new album is kind of the same vibe I feel [as the single]," Gomez told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "I just wanted to make an album that was inspirational. I mean 'Who Says' was just such a powerful song for me to perform and I love that my fans can have that to listen to because I'll listen to the lyrics and feel good, so it's definitely going to be very inspirational to my music this year."
The 18-year-old singer and actress and Justin Bieber, a 17-year-old pop star, have appeared cozy in many photographs since December 2010 and were spotted kissing during a recent vacation.
Some of Bieber's fans, most of which are female, have referenced Gomez in threatening messages on Twitter and other social networking websites. The singer released a "Who Says?" in March and she dedicated to her "haters."
"I do see the passion that a lot of these girls have, and it's beautiful," said Gomez, who travels with a private security guard. "I love it. I really do. It's special."
Gomez recently made headlines after pop star Pink and PETA caught wind that one of her upcoming music videos featured horses which had been painted pink. The horses were reportedly removed from the video, following the criticism.
The video is set to drop soon after the release of the single "Love You Like a Love Song," which is scheduled to hit stores on June 21. The track is featured on Selena Gomez & the Scene's third album, "When The Sun Goes Down," which is set for release a week later on June 28.
