Eight males, including seven suspected gang members, were arrested during the sweep. Four men are suspected ASK gang members from Santa Paula. Three men are suspected Cabrillo Village gang members.
Six of the men were arrested on rape charges; two others were arrested for battery. Other charges included kidnapping, conspiracy, street terrorism, child abuse, unlawful intercourse with a minor, and a weapons charge. The rape charges included rape by force, rape with an intoxicated person, and rape while victim is asleep.
Esteban Oseguera, Isaac Ek, Joseph Sandoval, Jonathan Gaona, Dion Mendoza, Carlos Ek, Adrian Garcia and one unidentified minor were arrested when warrants were served. They were transported to the Ventura County Jail, according to police.
Evidence was also collected in connection with the investigation, according to the Santa Paula Police Dept.
