Help needed finding suspect who fatally stabbed man at East LA party

EAST LOS ANGELES

Family members said Ivan Anders, 26, was a very special person, who read the Bible every night and wanted to become a missionary.

On Saturday, June 4, he was stabbed at a party in East Los Angeles when he confronted the party crasher who was groping Anders' girlfriend.

The victim's brother, Juan Anders, said the killer "has no regard for other people's lives nor does he belong in society. He needs to be locked away so he doesn't do this to someone else again."

The suspect was described as a Latino man in his early 20s, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slim build and a shaved head. He left in a dark blue Honda Civic.

Anyone with information was asked to called Los Angeles County sheriff's homicide investigators at (323) 574-2428.
