Angelina Jolie is the new face of fashion giant Louis Vuitton and appears in an ad promoting the French luxury goods company's "Core Values" campaign.
In the photo, shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz and posted on the website of Women's Wear Daily magazine, Jolie, 35, appears without makeup and wears her own clothes - a beige top and pants, rolled up below her knees - as she sits on a boat in Cambodia, the birth country of her oldest adopted son Maddox, 9.
She poses next to "her own elegantly weathered monogrammed Alto bag," WWD said.
"People are not used to seeing Angelina in this situation," Pietro Beccari, Louis Vuitton's executive vice president, told the magazine. "I like the fact that it's a real moment. This travel message we give through personal journeys is a fundamental one for the brand."
Jolie brought four of her and partner Brad Pitt's children to the photo shoot, WWD said, adding that some had to be "shooed out of Annie Leibovitz's frame."
Louis Vuitton, whose luxury purses were made even more famous thanks to the first "Sex and the City" film, is set to run its campaign with Jolie for the next year and a half. Other actors who have been featured in Louis Vuitton ads include Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Scarlett Johansson, Bono and Sean Connery.
