Joss Stone was recently the target of an apparent murder plot, reports say.
Earlier this week, two men from Manchester, England were arrested near the British soul and R&B singer's home and are suspected of planning to kill and rob her, BBC News said, quoting a police source as saying that they were found with swords, plans of Stone's home and a body bag. They have not commented.
A man inside the gates of the 24-year-old singer's community told reporters that the singer was not in the house at the time, UK-based television station ITN said.
"I'd like to thank everyone for their concern but I'm absolutely fine and getting on with life as normal while the police continue with their enquiries," Stone said in a statement to press outlets.
The singer has sold 11 million albums worldwide and is one of the United Kingdom's wealthiest contemporary artists.
The suspects were nabbed after neighbors told police they spotted a suspicious-looking vehicle near her home.
"The two men in custody had in their possession information relating to an individual in the Cullompton area and items which lead us to suspect that they may have intended to commit a criminal offence," ITN quoted Detective Inspector Steve Parker, who is leading the investigation, as saying. "Police inquiries continue and the men remain in custody."
The news comes more than a month before Stone is set to release her fifth studio album, "LP1." The record hits stores on July 26. Stone plans to promote her new music with appearances on U.S. talk programs such as "The Tonight Show" and concerts in Europe, starting on July 11.
