Perris garage fire knocked out by firefighters

Firefighters were able to confine flames to the garage of a home in Perris when it caught fire on Saturday.

When Riverside County fire crews arrived on the 1500 block of Palma Bonita Lane, the garage was spewing heavy smoke.

Crews quickly put out the blaze, which was reported at about 3 a.m.

All residents evacuated the home and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
