Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony are potty training their 3-year-old twins Max and Emme, but the couple ran into trouble when their son mistook the swimming pool for his own personal toilet.
Anthony, 41, said on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Tuesday that Max recently pooped in the pool and they ended up paying thousands of dollars to clean up the mess.
"He had an accident in the pool. It got into the filtration system and they charged me $6,000 to clean it. That was expensive," Anthony told Leno. "He took a $6,000 dump in the pool!"
The Grammy-winning singer, who married Lopez in 2004, said that they are training the twins in "full force" but that they've figured out loopholes to their techniques.
"In order to potty train them, every time they'd use the toilet we'd give them a lollipop. Three days passed and we ran out of lollipops," Anthony said. "I'm like, 'You should probably get them checked out if they're using the potty that much.'"
The twins and Anthony recently visited Lopez on the set of "American Idol." The 41-year-old singer and judge on the FOX singing contest series Tweeted, "Take your twins to work day at IDOL" with a picture of her and the twins at the judges table.
Anthony recently guest-starred on Jada Pinkett Smith's TNT series "Hawthorne" as Detective Nick Renata. He has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and released his 11th studio album, "Iconos" in 2010.
Lopez is known for pop and dance tracks such as "Waiting for Tonight," "If You Had My Love" and "Jenny From the Block." She last released a full-length record, "Brave," in 2007. Jennifer Lopez's seventh album "Love?" hit stores on May 3.
Lopez has also starred in movies like "The Back-up Plan," "The Wedding Planner" and the seven-time Razzie Award-winning "Gigli."
