Baby white rhino makes debut at Australia Zoo

BEERWAH, Australia

The rhinoceros, named "Savannah," was born in April at the zoo, which was owned and operated by the late Steve Irwin, also known as "The Crocodile Hunter."

His children, Bob and Bindi, presented the rhino to the public.

White rhinos are one of the world's most endangered animals, with fewer than 15,000 living in their native Africa.

The demand for rhino horn has led to dwindling numbers in the wild.

Savannah will take her place in the zoo's new African exhibit.
