Thousands of people from all over the country auditioned for the new show titled "Karaoke Battle USA."
Participants hope the show will be their big shot at getting discovered.
"Before you start you always think of the worst. You're nervous, but they made me feel so comfortable out there," said one contestant. "I just felt like I was coming home, you know what I mean?"
Premiere dates for "Karaoke Battle USA" have not been announced. However, producers said the show will run for six weeks, most likely starting sometime in mid-August.
