Justin Bieber added a touch of nostalgia to his outfit when he hit the red carpet at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada last week.
The 17-year-old pop sensation sported a T-Shirt with an image of Tiffani Thiessen as Kelly Kapowski from "Saved by the Bell," a show that went off the air a year before Justin Bieber was born in 1994.
A few days later, Thiessen, 37, wore a Justin Bieber T-shirt at the premiere of "Horrible Bosses" in New York City.
"Tiffani, yeah, she actually wore it too, so we both actually wore each other's shirts, which was kind of funny and ironic," Bieber told Access Hollywood at Sunday's BET Awards.
The singer said he loved the moment and loved her T-Shirt before adding, "She's great on 'Saved by the Bell.'"
New York Magazine's Vulture blog interviewed Thiessen, who now has a role on the show "White Collar," about the T-Shirt. When asked why she wore it, she responded, "I'm just trying to show the love back, that's all."
How did she get the Justin Bieber T-shirt? Thiessen said, "Actually, I had my show, "White Collar" -- they got it in Times Square. They're all over the place. I have, like, 9 million of them in my apartment right now."
She added, "So if anybody wants Justin Bieber T-shirts, I've got them."
