Peace vigil walk held for slain Anaheim boy

ANAHEIM, Calif.

Participants said they wanted to bring the community together and end street violence.

They were also honoring the memory of Juan Martinez, who was stabbed to death two weeks ago in an apparent tagging rivalry. Police arrested 18-year-old Bryan Ocampo, who is facing a charge of murder.

The peace walk started at Sycamore Junior High School, where Martinez attended. The walk was followed by a meeting and candlelight vigil.

More than 100 people took part in the event that was organized by city leaders. Organizers called it a show of unity.
